成纖維細(xì)胞是間葉細(xì)胞,它在成熟的生物體發(fā)育過程中具有許多重要的功能。成纖維細(xì)胞與結(jié)締組織中細(xì)胞外基質(zhì)的合成有關(guān),并且在創(chuàng)傷愈合過程中起著重要作用。許多疾病都與成纖維細(xì)胞有關(guān),不僅因為成纖維細(xì)胞與病原論有關(guān),而且纖維癥伴隨著組織中其它細(xì)胞類型的損害。成纖維細(xì)胞是*易獲得的哺乳動物細(xì)胞類型而且*適于體外培養(yǎng)。牙齦成纖維細(xì)胞是牙齦組織中的主要成分,并在維持牙齦健康中起著關(guān)鍵作用。人牙齦纖維原細(xì)胞表達(dá)廣泛的表面分子,主要包括CD9, CD26, CD55, CD59, CD63, CD71, CD86 CD95, CD99和CD117。也有證據(jù)表明牙齦成纖維細(xì)胞為蛋白酶激活受體1和蛋白酶激活受體3表達(dá)mRNA。
